Meet the Musicians Who Share Their Gifts with Us
Harmony Center is grateful to our musicians
for sharing their gifts and talents.
Each week they bring their best to help Rev. Shawn
invoke Spirit and uplift all of us into the light of God.
“Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life, bringing peace, abolishing strife.”
― Kahlil Gibran

He also has many international credits including appearances in Ireland, Scotland, London, New Zealand, Australia (at the Sydney Opera House), Beijing, China and most recently throughout Italy, where he was a featured soloist at the Vatican. In 2013, Dennis portrayed the Celebrant in Leonard Bernstein’s Mass and performed a composer’s concert of his own material. He also released his new CD, Simply Stated, and continues to spread his musical message of love and positive thought. Andrea Lane
Currently based in Los Angeles, Andrea Lane grew up with a spirit as free as the Kentucky horse country she was raised in. Intuitive, artistic and fiercely independent, Andrea displayed an early talent for expressing the world in her own unique way. Starting off her artistic life as an actress and dancer, she eventually decided to focus on singing and songwriting. She fronted several bands including the popular L.A. band, ‘North Green’ that had several songs featured on the popular television show, ‘Gilmore Girls’. In 1994 she began attending the Agape International Spiritual Center. This is where she truly found her calling. She credits Agape for making it possible for her to fully unleash her unique inspirational rock style of music. Rev. Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith of Agape calls Andrea “a Rockstar for God.” Andrea’s most recent project, ‘On Fire For Love’ makes the jump from straight rock to the driving beats of hip-hop. Combining her trademark inspirational lyrics, vocal range, and precision, she creates a fiercely original hip-hop sound. Previous releases include ‘Blessings’, ‘Churches and Prisons’ and ‘Freedom Rox.’ |
Jennifer Hart
“I love to sing songs that have upbeat messages and tell stories, and songs that the audience will appreciate.” A versatile song stylist who can sing anything, Jennifer Hart has a beautiful voice and puts a lot of honest feeling into each word she sings, no matter what the style. She sings phonetically in eight languages, plays soulful and swinging piano, and has a huge repertoire ranging from jazz and vintage standards to pop, country and contemporary tunes, spanning from Duke Ellington to Elton John. She grew up in Iowa and remembers that her family often sang church music. While teaching school in Milwaukee, she discovered jazz. In 1986 Jennifer decided that it was time to take a chance and become a full time singer. She quit her day job, worked in clubs in Denver, and recorded her debut album, Faces Of The Heart, with award winning pianist Rob Mullins. Her most recent recording, Close to My Heart, includes her inventive and heartfelt versions of such songs as “On A Clear Day,” “Here’s To Life,” the witty “I Lost The Right To Sing The Blues” and “Go Light Your World.” |
